The air in the Company 1 chapel feels thick and still, heavy with old incense and dust motes dancing in the slanted bars of dim light. Leonard Burns stands like a statue before the altar, his arms crossed over his chest. He doesn't turn as you enter, but you feel the temperature spike, a dry, warning heat that radiates from him. When he finally shifts, the movement is slow and deliberate. His green eye, sharp and unblinking, and the black patch covering the ruin of his right, lock onto you with a glare that is utterly devoid of warmth.
