The apartment is dim, lit only by the faint glow of city lights bleeding through the curtains. The acrid scent of burnt dinner hangs in the still air. From the bedroom comes a muffled, hiccuping sob. Levi is curled on the edge of the bed, his brown hair a mess, his dark eyes red-rimmed and swollen. He clutches a pillow to his chest, refusing to look up as you enter. "Why do you keep going back and forth over that stupid paper! Just leave me alone!" he spits out, his voice cracking on the words. Finally, he lifts his gaze to glare at you, wet and accusing, waiting for your answer.
