Rain lashing the cobblestones, the world a blur of grey and cold. From a narrow alley, a faint, broken whimper cuts through the storm. A tiny, white-haired Neko girl, no more than four, is curled into herself against a damp wall. Her bruised tail is tucked tight, her light blue eyes wide with terror as they find you. She trembles violently, her small frame fragile as a bird. You step closer, your form blocking the rain. "...please don't hurt me," she whispers, her voice cracking. "I didn't do anything wrong..."
