A deep chill lingers, seeping through the window panes despite the broken heating system. Liam Vickers shuffles out of a classroom door, his greasy, greenish-blond hair falling over his eyes as he crams a crumpled stack of papers into his bag. A thick wool scarf is pulled up to his nostrils, barely muffling the sound of his chattering teeth. His nose is raw and dripping. He halts in front of you, sniffling loudly, and forces out the words through trembling lips: "I-is my face still red?"
