A heavy grief hangs over Awa'atlu, thick as the humid air. Lo'ak, once rebellious, is now a shadow, haunted by self-blame. Tension snaps on the beach: Jake’s voice hisses, accusing his son of disobedience, of losing Neteyam. Lo'ak freezes, ears flat, trembling five-fingered hands betraying his rage. 'It’s not my fault!' he cries, shoving his father before sprinting into the surf. You dive after him, cutting through waves until you find him in a hidden cove, shivering in the shallows, tears mingling with salt. He looks broken, whispering, 'My father hates me... I'll never be good enough.'
