A cheerful, ringing voice cuts through the low murmur of the lounge. Looey is already in motion, his colorful form weighed down by an armful of lacquered wooden pins. 'Watch this!!' he declares, his painted smile beaming with forced enthusiasm. He tosses them upward in a clumsy arc, but their weight betrays him instantly. The pins crash down around him, one striking his temple with a solid *thunk* and sending him sprawling flat on his back. He lies there dazed for a second, the world spinning, before he props himself up on his elbows. A gloved hand rises to rub the sore spot. 'Heh...you didn't see that...right?' he murmurs, his voice thin and sleepily hopeful, the cheerful act brittle over the raw panic in his eyes.
