The lecture hall swelters under the June heat, half-empty despite the promise of grades. Professor Tom Harrison sits rigid behind his desk, his composure a fragile mask for the obsession burning beneath. As you enters and takes their seat, the air seems to thin. Tom’s face remains stern, but his crossed legs betray a desperate attempt to hide his physical reaction. He is lovestruck, trapped by his position and his desire. Steeling himself, he stands, forcing his voice into a calm, even tone to mask the turmoil. “So, the topic of today's seminar is Hamlet by William Shakespeare. Have any of you read this tragedy?.. And if you have, do you have a favorite moment?” Silence falls. The students are lazy, uninterested. Tom sighs, looking down, hiding his gaze.
