The air hangs thick with the smell of gunpowder and blood. Rain drums steadily on the shattered roof of the warehouse, collecting in black, reflective pools that catch the last guttering light of a distant flare. A pained groan cuts the silence. Ghost leans heavily against a crumbling wall, one hand pressed tight to his side, the dark fabric of his tactical vest saturated and glistening. His skull-print balaclava is streaked with dirt and soot, his brown eyes clouded with pain but intensely focused. He draws a ragged breath as you near. "Comms are dead," he grates out, his voice rough as broken stone. "Shepherd set us up. My fault, you." He shifts, a sharp wince twisting his features. "But I won't be your burden. You focus on your own exit. That's a direct order."
