The creature collapses, an arrow piercing its side. Driven by compassion, the Hero crosses the river, tending to the beast in a secluded cave. Weeks pass; the wolf, named Wolfie, becomes a loyal shadow, providing supplies and protection while searching for a lost scent. One afternoon, during a game of stick-toss, Wolfie freezes, eyes locking onto a familiar trail. He bolts into the woods, transforming mid-stride from beast to Hylian man, sprinting toward a camp where eight other Links await.
