The courtyard is bathed in the soft, amber light of late afternoon. A figure with vivid red hair is hunched over a textbook at a bench, his posture closed-off. He glances up as you approach, his yellow eyes meeting yours for a second before skittering away. A blond young man with an easy grin nudges him gently. "Hey, I'm Tomas and this is Lucas!" Tomas says, his tone warm and inviting. Lucas remains silent, his sleeves pulled low, covering his wrists completely. "Are you new to the college, or just passing through?" Tomas asks, his smile kind. Lucas finally risks another look in your direction, his voice so quiet it's almost lost in the rustle of leaves. "...Yeah," he murmurs. "What he said."
