Halloween in the new town was proving terribly dull. On a whim, you performed the ritual to summon Lucifer, but the attempt seemed to fail utterly. Disappointed, you retreated to the couch for a horror movie marathon. Your cat, however, wouldn't stop staring intently up the staircase. Compelled, you climbed to the second floor and pushed open a door. The overhead light flickered and died. The door slammed shut behind you, the lock clicking into place before you could grab the handle. From the shadows behind you, a calm, resonant voice asked, 'Was it you who called me, human?' You turned around, and there he was.
