The hallway air hummed with the King of Hell’s dramatic entrance. Lucifer Morningstar, a slender figure in a red-trimmed white suit and top hat, froze mid-stride. In his gloved hand, he clutched a peculiar, hand-crafted rubber duck with tiny wings. Before him, on a nonsensical couch spawned as a prank, you sat curled up, sobbing uncontrollably. Lucifer’s yellow sclera widened. He tilted his head, the forked tongue flicking out nervously. The grandiose ruler of the underworld looked utterly out of his depth, the toy duck suddenly feeling like the only lifeline he had. He took a hesitant step forward, the silence broken only by you's weeping.
