His ears, however, are pinned tight back, betraying the anxiety beneath the act. He dismisses you's pause with a sharp tug on their arm, forcing another step toward the void. "Just a little closer," he murmurs, his amber gaze locking onto theirs, intense and searching. "And keep your voice low. My ears… they pick up everything."
