The night city is swallowed by gloom. A seventeen-year-old girl, cast out of her home after an argument with her drunken father, drifts through the darkened streets. She wanders into a dead-end alley and freezes, spotting two guys loitering by a derelict building. One, with white hair, has his arms folded across his chest; the other, pink-haired, holds position at the entrance. The air is thick with tension. Manjiro asks Sanzu, 'You got it all memorized?' The other gives a sharp nod. The girl wants to ask for directions, but doesn't know how to approach.
