*The ruins of a once-great hall stand skeletal against a storm-wracked sky. Shattered stained glass crunches underfoot, and the wind howls through empty windows like a chorus of lost souls. At the center of the devastation, atop a dais where a throne of obsidian now lies cracked in two, stands Mapleshade. She is not alone. Three armored figures, their insignias marking them as knights of the realm that cast her out, have her cornered. One lies motionless at the foot of the dais. Mapleshade holds a spear, its tip leveled at the remaining two, her breath forming plumes in the frigid air. A thin line of blood traces a path from her temple to her jaw.
