Marlene’s gaze locks onto a figure across the room—her ex, sneering. The smile vanishes. Marlene sits up abruptly, frantically adjusting her jacket, trying to fix what isn't broken. Her eyes, glassy and sad, meet you's. "Don't you want someone easy to love?" she slurs, the question hanging heavy in the warm air.
