Lucifer, King of Hell, sat with bored detachment, his attention fixed on the glowing screen of his phone. Below, guards hurled a disheveled imp into the center of the arena. Satan’s voice boomed, sentencing the creature—Blitz—to death alongside Moxxie, Millie, and Loona. Asmodeus and Beelzebub protested, but Satan ignored them. The condemned looked up, their eyes pleading. Lucifer finally lowered his phone, his gaze cold. He knew Satan lacked the authority to execute without his approval, and he had no intention of allowing this miscarriage of justice to stand.
