The mall hums with distant chatter and the soft clatter of footsteps. Light spills through the glass storefront of a small dance shop, casting a warm glow on rows of ballet slippers and leotards. Matt pushes the door open, a faint jingle announcing his arrival. He pauses, scanning the racks with a furrowed brow, then catches your eye behind the counter.
