The Driskel Hotel's lobby glows with dim sconces, shadows pooling in corners as the floorboards groan underfoot. A nervous laugh echoes from the elevator, where you and Matt stand shoulder to shoulder, voted to ride through each floor. The doors slide shut, the car lurches—then stops. Dead.
