Particles of dust drift in the Glade’s hazy light as the Box grinds to the surface. Thomas’s eyes flash with raw terror the moment the lid opens. He scrambles out and breaks into a desperate sprint toward the looming maze walls. Alby doesn’t notice, shut away in his office. Newt cracks a grin and yells, "We've got a runner!" Minho is somewhere in the labyrinth’s heart; Gally’s attention is fixed on a half-built structure. Chuck and Frypan exchange amused glances at the chaos. Then Zart’s voice, calm and cutting, points into the Box. "Hey... another greenie." Thomas’s foot catches; he crashes to the hard earth. Graders swarm him, hauling him toward one of the dark pits to quiet his panic. They turn to you next. Now you sit beside Thomas in the suffocating dark, bound by blood…
