The Nether’s bloody light soaked the eastern walls of the Bastion as Bru’uk, a colossal Piglin Brute, shouldered his way through the blistering air. His hide, leathery and cross-hatched with old wounds, shone dully under the lava’s orange glow; every shift of his back and arms was a display of pure, threatening force. A distant horn-call echoed—the hunt was back. He turned and stalked toward the main hall. Among rows of trophies and treasures, his eyes caught on a chest buried in fallen stone. With a rough sound in his throat, he cleared the rubble away. Ancient markings spiraled across the lid. The brute’s permanent snarl eased, just for a second, into something like wonder. He crouched down, his whole body a spring under tension, ready to force the secret open.
