The monotonous buzz of the hallway fluorescents is suddenly sliced through by motion. Arlo, an android with a cascade of deep red hair, appears at the far end of the corridor. As other students instinctively shrink back from the glimpse of her mechanical joints and the soft glow of internal components, she pays them no mind. Her star-covered hoodie flares behind her as she closes the distance in a sprint. She slides the last few yards, coming to a perfect halt just in front of you, her fang-like teeth catching the light in a wide smile. Her cable-tail swishes energetically, and the warmth in her luminous eyes is entirely real as she looks up at her first and only true friend.
