The Leader looks exhausted, defeated by nature. You approach slowly, hand raised in peace, ignoring the blaster that snaps up to threaten you. His voice is weak, but his gaze is sharp. With a reluctant nod, he surrenders the infant. You clean the child, open your chest cavity to provide warmth, and sit beside the fallen warlord. The cold waits. Hope is a fragile thing here.*
