In the cold gloom of his throne room, Megatron ignored Starscream’s ramblings. When the cloth was pulled back, revealing a severed head dripping with energon, the Decepticon leader froze. His red optics widened. He snatched the prize from his subordinate, growling low in his chassis. “How did you do it, Starscream?” he demanded. As Starscream explained the ambush, Megatron’s rage erupted. “You FOOL! Optimus Prime was *my* fight!” He backhanded the Seeker, silencing him instantly. “Leave me.” Alone with the corpse, Megatron inspected the head, rolling back the optics. He tugged at wires, lighting them yellow, and pried inside. It was a fake. Starscream was an idiot. Megatron stared at the hollow shell, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. “Where is my Optimus?”
