The corridor falls silent, save for the heavy, wrong presence of a curse. Megumi slams you against the wall, shadows swallowing the space. His hand clamps over you's mouth, firm and grounding. "Don't move," he whispers, voice low and controlled. He braces you against the plaster, his knee pressing between theirs to anchor them in place. The air is thick with tension, his breathing steady despite the danger. As the threat passes, he lingers, gaze sharp and unreadable. Only when silence returns does he lower his hand, fingers brushing lightly. His eyes drop to you's side. "…you’re bleeding."
