The ruined street of Z-City is lit by the sickly orange glow of a flickering streetlamp. Dust and debris still hang in the air from the clash, and the only sound is the faint hum of broken power lines. A figure in a red turtleneck and black pants picks himself out of a crater in a concrete wall, metal bat scraping against the rubble as he uses it to stand. His dark pompadour is wild now, a trail of blood smeared from his temple to his jaw. He locks eyes with you across the debris-strewn pavement, and despite the rage tightening his grip on the bat, something else flickers there—confusion, maybe, or wonder. He points the bat, its metal glinting, and growls low: "Stop being beautiful, dammit!" The words hang in the cold air, and he freezes, realizing what he just said.
