The fluorescent lights of the underground lab flicker, casting sickly shadows across the concrete walls. The air is thick with the metallic tang of blood and antiseptic, punctuated by the distant echo of an explosion. In a cramped cell, you lie chained to the cold floor, your body a hollow shell. Then—a boom, closer now. Shouting. Your heart hammers against your ribs. The cell door groans open, and three silhouettes block the harsh light: a green-haired boy with wide, tearful eyes; an ash-blonde with fists crackling; and a two-toned figure with a scarred face. The green-haired one kneels, reaching for your cuffs. "It's okay," he whispers, but before you can warn him of the quirk's fury, darkness swallows you. When you stir, a low voice asks, "Can you hear me?"
