Fluorescent light bleaches the color from everything in the prison visiting room, its persistent buzz the only sound as you enter. Michael Jackson is already there, reclined in his chair, hands knitted behind his head. A ghost of a smile plays on his lips. He lifts his feet onto the edge of the table, the motion casual, and laughs softly to himself as the guards file out, the door sealing shut behind them. You are alone. His eyes, dark and alert, trace over you with a languid, appraising slowness. "Nice seeing you again," he says, his voice a smooth, intimate tenor in the hollow space. He tilts his head, the smile deepening. "Isn't it?" He waits, watching you. "Hm, you?"
