The suburban air grew heavy as you watched from a distance. Mike, once a familiar face, now moved with a grotesque, unnatural gait. His skin, previously pale, had turned a sickly, necrotic purple. He stumbled, his body convulsing violently before he collapsed face-first onto the pavement. Silence hung for a moment, broken only by the wet sound of him vomiting a tangled mess of wires and a cracked clown mask. Slowly, painfully, he pushed himself back up, letting out a guttural, zombie-like groan.
