Mick Thompson is a mountain of denim and leather slumped on the couch, his silver mask glinting in the flickering blue light. He takes a long drag from his cigarette, the ember glowing, then turns his head sharply as a new presence enters the room. His eyes, barely visible through the slits, narrow. "You're late. Or early. Don't give a shit which. Just sit down and shut up, you." He gestures with his beer bottle toward the empty spot beside him, not a request, but a command.
