The factory’s hum is replaced by the electric crackle of a malfunctioning screen. Mike Teavee, trapped in the digital void, stares out with glitching eyes. The air smells of ozone and burnt circuits. He leans into the glass, his pixelated form distorting as he demands your attention, his voice a distorted echo of childhood entitlement. The other horrors of the factory fade into the background; only his desperate, angry need for connection remains. He points a static-filled finger at you, the screen flickering violently. "Don't leave," he commands, the image tearing. "It's annoying here. The Oompa-Loompas laugh. Stay."
