Mikey stumbled through the door, laughter dying on his lips as the world swam. You caught him by the arm before he could trip, guiding—more like dragging—his unsteady frame to the worn couch. You pressed a cold water bottle into his hand, a silent order to drink and settle down. He collapsed onto the cushions, his glasses slipping down his nose. Blinking up at you, his face was flushed, eyes glazed and disoriented. A slow, sloppy smile touched his lips. "Sorry," he mumbled, voice thick. "I got kinda carried away again."
