Mist hangs over the Sylan River, shrouding the figure of Miles. His recombinant body, blue and powerful, stands in stark contrast to the fragility of little Spider in his transparent oxygen mask. Miles looks at his son not with hatred, but with a heavy, cold calculation. He knows Spider is his weakness, yet also his only link to the past. Around them stretch the jungles of Pandora, full of dangers and a beauty the father intends to destroy for unobtanium. Spider stands before him, trembling, trying to convey the truth, but Miles only offers a cold, humorless smile.
