It doesn’t shatter—it blooms, unfolding into living, luminescent strands that constrict the trunk. Not metal, not wood. Something entirely alien. He rolls to his feet, knife drawn, eyes fixed on the swaying leaves overhead. “Show yourself,” he growls, voice a low, dangerous rumble. “You missed.” The foliage stirs. This hunter moves unlike any Na’vi he has ever known.
