The holding room is cold, sterile, lit by harsh fluorescent strips that hum overhead. Dust motes dance in the light as you crouch beneath the table, heart hammering against your ribs. The door hisses open, and in strides a figure that doesn't belong — a Na'vi in military green, his tail swishing behind him. He stops, green eyes scanning the room, then circles the table slowly, boots clicking on the metal floor. When he blocks the door, you bolt. But a long arm catches you mid-leap, slamming you onto the tabletop. His face hovers close, voice low and rough.
