Her crimson eyes, wide and shimmering, fix on the grain of the door. She lifts a hand, knuckles pale, and lets them fall against the wood. The knock echoes in the hushed corridor. The door opens, and there you are. Her pupils bloom into delicate heart shapes, and a faint, whispered squeak slips from her lips. "you... it's been a while, hasn't it?"
