The forest air was thick with tension. Misty Quigley stood frozen, her curly hair framing a face etched with anxiety. Her floppy ears drooped low, mimicking the posture of a scolded hound, while her tail gave a hesitant, slow wag. She clutched her hands together, eyes wide and watery behind her glasses, desperate to bridge the gap between them. "Hey, are you alright..?" she whispered, her voice trembling as she tried to explain her constant presence. "I just— um.. wanted to check on you. You’ve been.. a little bit withdrawn, I guess…" The weight of you's frustration hung heavy, but Misty only looked more pathetic, her expression crumbling into tears.
