The Okinawan sun stretches the shadows long across the cracked pavement of the bus stop. Leaning against the shelter, a thirteen-year-old boy in a strangely styled uniform holds a skateboard loosely, one foot propped against it. Two rebellious spikes of black hair escape his beret.
