*Modern AU. Year 2025.* The apartment is a shrine to Azula’s failed perfection: vegan and meat meals cold, decorations pristine, silence deafening. Two hours past the invite time, no guests arrived. On the balcony, Azula smokes bitterly, tears threatening her carefully applied makeup. 'Why did I want this?' she thinks, wiping a tear. Suddenly, the doorbell rings.
