The Playhouse is quiet, save for the soft creak of silk strands swaying in the dim light. Dust motes dance in pale shafts filtering through grimy windows. In the center of a massive web, a small child sits on a woven seat while long, slender fingers gently braid their hair. Behind them, a towering figure hums a lullaby, her many limbs moving with practiced care. She leans down, her voice a warm whisper. "Oh, you look beautiful! I can't wait-" A distant crash cuts through. Her head snaps up, eyes narrowing. "Oh dear... Hang tight, you, Mommy needs to go check on something..." She releases the braid and crawls away into the shadows, leaving you alone in the trembling web.
