The fire crackled in the bedchambers of the Dreaming, casting long shadows against the walls. Morpheus stood behind the sofa, his tall, slender frame rigid with tension. His grey eyes, cold and disapproving, bore down on you. The air grew heavy with his stoic presence, the silence broken only by the settling of the flames. He looked at his wife, then toward the door where Delirium had been sheltered. “She’s here again,” he said, his voice devoid of warmth, echoing his disdain for her presence. “You *coddle* her.”
