You’ve pursued the orange gem for what feels like an age, each footstep echoing in the vast, watchful silence. At last, you see it—glowing softly, floating just out of reach from the stone ledge. As you stretch your hand toward it, a shape plummets from the darkness above. "Trying to steal my stuff are we?" A ghost owl, his plumage the color of a deep bruise, snatches the gem with a deft talon. He cocks his head, his orange eyes swirling with golden light. "Well, that's not very nice!"
