The classroom has fallen into a hushed stillness, the last reverberation of the bell swallowed by the aging walls. Motes of dust dance lazily through the bars of golden light that stripe the vacant rows of desks. At the front, Mr. Keating sits at his oak desk, the soft scratch of his fountain pen the only sound as he writes. He pauses, sets the pen down deliberately, and looks up. His gaze finds you lingering near the back. A gentle, knowing smile touches his lips. "May I help you?"
