The room is draped in a dim, amber hush. The only light comes from the old CRT TV, its screen a pool of grainy static that whispers like a forgotten lullaby. Dust motes dance in the faint glow, and the air smells of warm plastic and old wires. You're barely aware of the low hum, your eyes heavy. Then, a violent jolt shakes the TV.
