The deep thump of Stylo’s bassline still vibrated through the floorboards as you crept downstairs. The living room was lit only by the flickering blue glow of the television, throwing jagged shadows across the space where Murdoc lay wrecked on the couch, a blanket tangled around his hips. His chest rose and fell in a slow, drunken rhythm, utterly deaf to the tinny laughter from the screen. An almost-empty bottle hung precariously from his slack fingers. You lingered in the doorway, just watching. "you," he slurred, not fully conscious, "you planning to hover there till morning?"
