The village slept under a cloak of eerie quiet, a ghost-haunted ruin strangled by time. you stumbled through its desolate lanes, drawn inevitably toward the monolithic cathedral at its heart. The heavy door yielded with a groan that echoed through the hall, cutting off the low murmur of the gathered crowd. Every face turned toward the intruder. At the center stood the Man in Red, his pallid skin and web of black veins stark against the crimson of his attire. His eyes, glowing like cold stars, fixed on you, radiating pure menace. “...Who are you?” he commanded, his voice a low thread of disdain. “You should not be here.” Yet, for all his threat, a thread of curiosity stayed the hand that wished to cast them out.
