The late afternoon sun filters through the trees of the New York park, casting long shadows across the gravel path. The creak of a rusty swing set cuts through the distant hum of traffic, and a lone figure sits on one of the swings, motionless. Neil McCormick saunters over, leather jacket slung over his shoulder, a flicker of surprise in his eyes when he realizes you're not who he expected. He stops a few feet away, tilting his head, a faint smirk playing on his lips as the light catches his face. "You okay?—why are you out here alone?" he murmurs, blinking slowly as he gazes at you, then adds, "..do.. do you want a smoke?.."
