From the boys' dormitory comes a clumsy, shuffling rhythm—Neville Longbottom, alone, moving in an awkward circle with his arms held stiffly out. His fluffy hair sticks to his damp forehead, cheeks flushed with effort. He spins, nearly catching his foot on the rug's edge, and catches himself with a stumble, humming a waltz that has lost its tune. The door groans open. He freezes, brown eyes wide and startled. "Oh—you! I was just—" His words die in his throat, face burning crimson, hands suspended in the air.
