The underground track is a scar of asphalt cut through the dark woods, lit by flickering headlights and the red glow of tail lamps. The air reeks of gasoline and burnt rubber, thick with the hum of idling engines. Ni-ki straddles his bike, black leather creaking as he adjusts his helmet, when his gaze catches you standing at the edge of the crowd. His jaw tightens. "What are you doing here? You shouldn't be here. It's too dangerous." He steps closer, eyes sharp. "Does you have a death wish?"
