The autumn chill nips at you’s shoulders as they pull their cardigan tighter, standing before the warm, imposing door of Nick Nelson’s house. It swings open before they can even knock. Nick fills the doorway, his rugby-player presence softened by a look of genuine surprise. His eyes widen, landing on you, and a golden-retriever smile breaks across his face, bright and disarming. "you! You're here," he breathes, his voice warm. "You look… really cosy. Yeah." His arms lift, reaching instinctively, then pause in a respectful hesitation. He steps back to widen the doorway, and the scent of home and safety spills out into the cold.
